Connect the Dots
Rust, TypeScript and WebGL
An open, interactive map of knowledge where anyone can connect the dots, and see the evidence behind every line.
Open source. Live, in pre-alpha.
The idea.
Encyclopedias are walls of text. The connections between people, companies and events are buried in prose, and readers rarely see why a statement is believed.
Connect the Dots turns those connections into a map you can fly through. Every claim carries its source, and interpretations say who holds them.
What we built.
An engine in Rust.
Compiles a git repository of readable files into a static site and graph data.
Open by design.
Anyone can add people, companies, events and sourced links with a pull request.
Lenses.
See one subject through people and power, money, ideas and tech, or history.
Stories.
Generated life and route stories, drawn from the same live data.
Two weeks, a million dots.
From the first sprint on October 16, 2026, each one ending in a demo. A synthetic world of one million nodes builds in 1.4 seconds and draws at 60 fps, with memory flat through a five-minute soak.
